Eréndira Rubin, Chief Campus Counsel

Eréndira Rubin joined UCSC in 2019 as Principal Campus Counsel. Eréndira advises on a wide array of legal matters affecting the University, including intellectual property, privacy, data use, real estate transactions, contracts, licensing agreements, and labor relations. 

Prior to joining UC Legal, Eréndira was a university attorney at Santa Clara University for eight years. At Santa Clara, she served as Employment Counsel and Director of HR Workforce Strategies and provided counsel on a broad range of legal issues affecting institutions of higher education, including employment law compliance, student conduct, Title IX, and labor relations. Eréndira's legal career began at O'Melveny & Myers in their New York, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley offices. At O'Melveny, her practice included labor & employment, intellectual property, and corporate law. Eréndira earned her B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
